We have a Dr. In the House!

Congratulations to veteran teacher Halah Simon who completed her Doctorate in Applied Educational Studies over the summer.  Dr. Simon graduated from Alva High School in 1996, received her Bachelor of Arts in 2000 from Oklahoma State University, and her Masters degree in Education from Oklahoma State University in 2003.

Dr. Simon is starting her 17^th year…..ALL at Alva High School.  She has taught English IV, English I, Teach Oklahoma, Alternative Ed and is also the Key Club Sponsor.

Dr. Simon can be found at many school events where she is a huge supporter of all of the activities that her students are involved in.  Dr. Simon is beloved by not only the students in her classes, but the entire student body. 

Dr. Simon says that she always looks forward to coming back to school each year!
